Some time ago I started my bucket list with travel destinations I wanted/want to see during my lifetime. Later, it grew bigger and bigger and it is still growing. One of the fancy things on my list is to step a foot on all continents, including Antarctica and experience wildlife there upclose.

Bucket List
The term “bucket list” is a list of basically everything you want to experience/achieve before you die. This could be goals to achieve, dreams you want to fulfill, life experiences you want to take and so on.
Why creating a bucket list is a good idea
You should do whatever makes you happy. Some call this “follow your bliss“. A bucket list is a large list to set up everything you’ve ever wanted to do. It doesn’t matter if it’s small, just for fun or really big. I literally mean BIIIG. The list can be your source for personal growth, too. If you sometimes ask yourself what you did accomplish in the past months or what you should do in the next months/year, it’s time for you to start a list of personal goals and plans – the bucket list. Otherwise you might get caught in daily routines. Having a bucket list reminds you of what’s really important so you can prioritize, follow your dreams and live life to the fullest.

Tools
My own bucket list is constantly evolving. At the moment it contains more than 200 items which I prioritize new from time to time. For my bucket list I use a Trello-Board which is quite easy to set up.
Categories
I divided my list in several categories which makes it easier when it comes to building clusters so you can combine items together. I use the following categories:
- (historic) Landmarks
- Beaches
- Cities
- Hot (for hot topics among media I want to try, e.g. Cronut or Nutellasagna 🙂 )
- Actions
- Travelling
- Personal Growth (Education etc.)
- Adventure
- Business
- Just for Fun
